Repeat Prescriptions

The practice operates a repeat prescription system which enables patients who take medication for chronic stable conditions to collect a prescription from the surgery each month.

To re-order medication use the computerised repeat slip and tick the items required. This should then be posted into the prescription box in the waiting room near to reception.

Electronic Prescription Service

A new system has recently been introduced to make it even easier for you to pick up your repeat prescription -it is called the Electronic Prescription Service, or EPS for short.

EPS is an NHS service that, with your consent, sends your prescription from your GP surgery to a Pharmacy or your choice without the need for a paper copy. All you have to do to receive this service is ask your GP or inform a member of staff at reception.

Medication Reviews

Patients must be reviewed after a pre-determined interval by the doctor in order to stay on the repeat prescription system. The date of the review will be written on the repeat side of the prescription. The patient will be given one reminder to book a review appointment with a member of the team. If they fail to do so they may find they are unable to obtain their medication until they have seen a member of the team.

Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
